  • Increases clients' self-sufficiency
  • Enhances clients' ability to set goals
  • Strengthens clients' decision-making skills

Crivelli Kovach A, Becker J, & Worley H. (2004) Journal of Community Psychology

Community-based Masters Project, Felicia Washington, 2004.
Interviews with mothers who breastfed in communities where formula-feeding had been the norm, underscored the importance of the kind of social support MCC provides.

MCC's Smoke Free Moms
program at the Delaware County MOMobile has  assisted 56% of clients to change their smoking behavior: 16% have quit; 12% have reduced their smoking; and 28% have moved their smoking outside the home and away from young children.
